NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 3 2005 - Collectors Universe, Inc. (NASDAQ:CLCT) , the leading provider of value-added grading and authentication services to dealers and collectors of high-end collectibles, announced that the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), a division of Collectors Universe, certified the U.S. 1913 Liberty Head nickel which was recently sold for $4.15 million, the second highest price paid for any coin.
This coin is only one of five known to exist. A coin dealership in Lincroft, N.J., bought it from a collector in Merrimack, N.H.
